Panoramas of the World

Prague Castle I

The Hradschin Place, where this panorama picture was taken, forms the entrance to the Prague Castle. It was the center of the former city Hradschin, where even executions took place.

From the Hradschin you can see the first inner ward and the palaces of the archbishop and Schwarzenberg. The castle is one of the main attractions of the city. Since 1918 it has been the home of the president of the republic. The history of the castle goes back to the 9th century, when it was created by the Premyslids. Later it was changed several times.
