For many people, the West Canadian metropolis Vancouver, located on the Pacific, is as attractive as cities like San Francisco. Vancouver has half a million inhabitants. This is not only the financial and cultural hub of the region, but also the most important harbour on the Canadian west coast. The city centre of Vancouver is located on a peninsula in the Strait of Georgia. In the past decades, skyscrapers were built in the city center. The skyline is best viewed from Stanley Park, located across from skyline, as you can see in this panorama. |
