This national park, the second largest in Victoria, with its sandstone formations, waterfalls, and meadows, attracts hikers in particular. A small low mountain range, with mountains as high as approximately 1000 meters, form the center of the national park. The mountains are the western part of the Australian coastal mountains of the "Great Dividing Range". It was formed about 400 million years ago by enormous earthquakes. The main settlement of the national park is Hall's Gap, with about 400 inhabitants. There is another panorama picture of the national park to be found |
